Jim Hoffmann is leaving La Spaziale UK to pursue new opportunities.
After two and a half years with the company La Spaziale UK are sad to announce that James Hoffmann is moving on after the Caffe Culture show in May to travel North America and then pursue his own business venture.
After joining at the end of 2004 James took on the role of training and education that La Spaziale were pioneering in the UK. For nearly two years he was the only trainer attached to a machine supplier working with their distributors to help push quality forward through education, and this has been one of many reasons that La Spaziale UK are the fastest growing espresso machine supplier in the UK.
During his time with La Spaziale Jim won the UK Barista Championship twice, achieved 5th place in the World Barista Championship 2006 in Bern whilst also helping to develop and foster the UK competition.
Steve Penk commented - “Jim is a unique talent and his skills will be surely missed by all who have enjoyed working with him over the last 2 ½ years. We are delighted for him to take up the exciting opportunities he has had offered to travel the US and we wish him well with his own venture when he returns back to the UK”.
James moving on, however, does not mean an end to what La Spaziale see as a vital role. We are delighted to announce that Jon Skinner is joining La Spaziale bringing with him many years of expertise in the field of barista training.
